This is an old favourite. I use this conditioner as a leave-in, as a detangler, and sometimes as a co-wash. This product claims to be cone's free. I'm not very versed on the the cone's and stuff, but I do know this product works really well with my hair. It smells great and it very cheap.
I decided to try another oil. I felt kinda guilty like I was betraying my coconut oil and my Jamaican Black Castor Oil lol. After the Coconut oil left my hair a bit dryer in the winter, I had no other choice. Jojoba oil is very similar to the sebum oil that our scalp and skin produce. This oil also penetrates the hair shaft similar to coconut oil. This is another favourite of mine. It has a lot of slip, and is not sticky like the Jamaican Black Castor Oil, but leaves your hair (and skin) feeling supple and hydrated. After wudu, I put a few squirts in my hands then, rub across the strands as a refresher. a little goes a long way.
This product is the TRUTH... lol. The only issue I have with this product is that there isn't enough in the jar. Seriously, I thought I would have to relax my hair due to the dryness and brittleness. The winter months have done a number on my tresses. After trying this product... oooh la la!! My hair was so moisturized, fluffy and touchable. I section out my hair, then apply the co-wash (better done outside of the shower) then leave it for a few minutes (depending on how distracted I get, might be longer). While I have it in, I finger detangle. I get in the shower and rinse the product out then condition and detangle again as normal. Then I style as normal. The product is not cheap, but to me, it's definitely worth it. My hair feels, clean, soft and lush!
For my twists (favourite go-to style) I felt like trying something new, outside of my regular routine. This product smells great and I didn't really have any issues with it, like flaking or clumping. However, I did find it unnecessary for my twist styles. If I were attempting a twist-out perhaps it would give me more definition, but I usually do twist outs after my twists get old and it's almost wash-day. I also tried slicking down my hair while attempting a puff. The product is somewhat dry, but with my hair texture I didn't find it gave me much hold and felt sticky after a while. Even after tying my hair with a scarf to achieve flat slick edges... this was a fail. I guess that's not it's intended purpose. Maybe if I were to attempt a wash n' go I would enjoy the product more, but wash n' go's don't really suite my crazy life style hehe...
