I transitioned from relaxed hair to natural hair for about a year. I mostly wore cornrows in my hair, redoing it every two weeks.
I found it difficult to maintain, and style the two distinct textures. The textures were noticeably distinct and broke at the demarkation point (where the relaxed hair ends and the natural hair starts). Washing and detangling the two were even worse for me. Transitioning made me start reconsidering going natural. It wasn't until I did the "Big Chop" August 2013 that I realized how handling my natural hair really was. For me it was the best decision I had ever made, regarding my hair. Hanging on to my creamy crack ends were coming between me and the love of my natural tresses. Did you transition? Are you currently transitioning? Tell me why you made your decision.
